memory slot

my memory slot 1 is broke, wondering if anyone has replaced that ? Smile

found a couple of places which sell replacement, however console versions supports is not mentioned, so wondering if fits all (i have another ps2, which is slightly different shape of port thinking of using that) rather than buy. i did email the the co's to ask them, however haven't got a response, so if can recremmend somewhere in the UK would apprieciate thanks in advance, oh yeah, also is it worth buying a replacement cable at the same time?

RE: memory slot

How long have you had your ps2 for??? if it's over the warranty why don't you open it and see for yourself?? Also how did it break. When was the last time it still worked?

RE: memory slot

Replacing memory card slots is pretty easy. There's only one screw holding it in place and a single ribbon cable. You can find new ones on ebay.Wink

warranty ran out at least 6 months ago, i had a look already, very slight difference shape of port, ribbon cable = same. last time it worked ok, was before i dropped it (own fault) already reseated the cable, hoping it was that, didn't really want to just try the other port, incase not compatable, incase more damage could be caused.
