Your family can't play your copy of Bioshock

Basically when you buy Bioshock you are the only one allowed to play it since your family would be freeloading if you let them play your copy of it.

RE: Your family can't play your copy of Bioshock

I believe there was some deactivation available, no ? 2 activations, even. Nevertheless, the whole ordeal is just plain greed, spoken with fuzzy words.

Freeloading? What about this?

- If someone watches one of your DVDs in your salon while you're cooking, does that constitute freeloading ?
- Should your cousins be arrested for illegally reading your Harry Potter books?
- Since the 90's, isnt a HOUSEHOLD licence purchased actually, with the person putting its name just acting as the buyer and single point of contact? Why should your siblings buy another copy, when all of you probably play on the same computer? Bioshock doesnt support true multiuser soft installation, and SP3 isnt planned too soon, so a patch to remove this infamy is unlikely.

When the day of true multiuser soft installations comes, games could be installable by each user of the comp, requiring a separate licence for each *user account*. When did perpetual ownership turn into such craap? Bioshock buyers got what they deserved. They better bite now and smite that game into the ground, or cope with it, and accept the monetary and rights loss...

RE: Your family can't play your copy of Bioshock

Funniest thing ever, as far as im concerned, if someone is using the original CD they can play the game legally, if I give it to my borther, sister, faster, friend to borrow, then couldn't care less what there faggy company says. (The 5 rego's is bull crap in itself, your pretyy much renting the game as it will only last 5 formats)

Down with bioshock. It won't even play on my PC anyway, due to pixelshader 3.

In situations like this my cousin's Xbox360 comes in handy.
As a moderator of the 2k games forum what the jackass says is as good as what the company itself says.
I haven't had a look the actual license agreement of Bioshock yet but I have this sneaking suspicion that it doesn't actuaily say that.

Installation of protection is described, and affirmed that the activation limits are not a securom standard "feature", but a deliberate company choice. To sum things up, 2K is essentially in violation of their own terms.
