I played a lot with my brother's PSP, now I had my own PSP firmware 2.71. Is it 1.5 is the best firmware? Should I downgrade mine?

well... theres some argument for that...
while downgrading to 1.5 is a start, many people would say that the custom FW's are the way to go. (the most current being 3.02 OE-A)
Currently I use 1.5 with FW 3.01 Devhooked
Though is 3.02 OE-B SUPPOSEDLY has the Sony PS1 emu hacked to run other PS1 games... that feature may get me to update, but till then sticken with 1.5

I have 1.5 running with Devhook 0.51 Beta(3.01). All the games I want run(MTGSO, Locco Rocco), and also I can run all the emus I want, I don't really see any advantage(exept maybe for the time to start devhook) in a custom firmware.

And since my collection of PS1-games is small, I'll wait n' see how Sonys DRM-chaos with PS1 and PS3 is going to resolve. Sometimes you gotta ask if their managers get paid for triggering chaos.

Then I will downgrade into 1.5. What downgrader did you use? Point me a link. I know some site, just worried if it provide a fake downgrader and brick my psp. If you can attach the file here will be great. I'm trying to dump my UMD into ISO later. Many things to explore
