RE: Thermaltake Big Typhoon VX (New cpu cooler)

The cooler is a couple of months old by now. I have the older Big Typhoon version myself that I picked up summer 2005, been a really good cooler. The VX version has adjustable fan speed and capable of slightly higher RPM which provides perhaps 1C better result or so and black colored fan grill but otherwise they are the same. It's one of the very best aircoolers and by noise level vs performance ratio it's really difficult to beat! Rated only 16dB.

Here's a few pics of the size of this cooler, it is really big. Toungue

(that's a 60mm Athlon XP cpu boxed cooler to the right for size comparision)

Guess they don't call it big typhoon for nothing.

I'll check the price on this.

You can't buy such cooler. You need to make it. Have ever heard about Frankstein?

You won't believe me but some time ago I used a fan like the one in the second picture. Had to stop using it because my mom stole it from me. Damn mom.
