I sometimes come for a visit as a guest, to a different experience here, and must admit something surprised me (apart the fact attachement viewing seems completely nonrestricted or limited. checked about 15 attachements with no 'memberprivilegeplzregister' prompt, though a threshold of 10 unrestricted attachment views seems fine enough. *back on track*)

When guests come in (not from portal, most/all come from mainpage), there is no clear link or button to retrieve a list of new (getnew doesnt give anything for guests, normal) or today's posts, even though the command itself works fine for them. This seemed to be a strikin navigability concern, so i thought itd be worth reporting, as it might not have been too noticeable for members.

It might be appropriate to add a linky on top of the site for guests as well, to aid navigability.

Yeah Rikki, you're doing a good job in finding ways to improve the site.

That's a pretty good idea, especially if we also have an RSS feed of that.

There *are* rss feeds here actually. You can even customize feeds for particular sections. The only RSS shortcoming seems to be that only first posts get syndicated, and not every new *post*. I think its because it was thought with emunews updates in mind in particular. Don't quote me on that though.

For the missing "check today's topics", it would seem the default myBB template doesnt have it, though the command is *usable* by guests by default (but not *visible*), so probably just adding a proeminent getdaily link to today's topics on the line on top (the one featuring "memberlist", "comics" and "chat") should suffice, and significantly increase visibility of the latest topics

Wow, this is going to sound ridiculous, but I'd actually never read Useful Guides and Links entirely until today -- I had only seen the first post. There are some very, very useful guides in there for newbies. It might be really helpful to HTMLize some of the posts and keep them prominent on the site, rather than just a sticky. But you guys would know what works better on the site than I do.

New here and I think it's also a MyBB issues, but thought I should mention it:
You can press unlimited time on the "View New Posts" and "View Today's Posts" buttons and create a search, that will make the site a little bit slower. Probably you should limit the search creation for ten seconds, because it would lower the traffic created by bots or silly members (I also used it [ME=silly member ], to test it out, so I also increased the traffic for some seconds)...

I dont know if this is a comprehensive list of the rules here but it says nothing about asking for support about roms (as opposed to sharing them). It was only when requesting technical advice I found it it was not allowed.

You seem to have your definition of the word rom confused, roms are only illegal on the users end. (aka they don't own the game). You can ask for support for roms here and you will find help. However you wont when you say you downloaded them (Which you did) and you ask for help about how to extract a downloaded iso of course it will get closed.

Also just for the record PS1 games are not roms.

We have a non-explicit "don't ask don't tell" policy for ROMs so if you are asking for help don't mention how you got those ROMs unless you ripped them yourself.
