RE: Star Ocean Two Issue

Star Ocean 2 is an incredibly buggy game, emulated or not. I've actually never gotten past the first disc because of all of the problems with it.

I suspect that this error is a result of bad coding in the game combined with the exacerbation of these faults with emulation, but, of course, it could be any number of things. You might have better luck with pSX, but I'm not sure. I'm sure there's good information on Emuforums, but I'm too lazy to search the boards for you right now. Smile

RE: Star Ocean Two Issue

I've finished SO2 on ePSXe twice.

It is pretty buggy. It's about the only game I actually have to save and reload from the memory cards occasionally, because if you rely on the savestates eventually you'll get to a point where it will always crash like that. Just use a savepoint in-game, shut down the emulator, then later when you want to play again load your save from the memory card.

Xenogears was the only game I had to switch emulators to get past a couple of spots where ePSXe would always crash, though. Something about the cutscenes and video, or something.
