RE: Staff Members, Introduce Yourself Here

Hi I'm Xtreme2damax. I'm the newest addition to the staff on General Emulation. I currently Moderate the PCSX2 Sections and the Open Discussion forum.

About Me:

I was born in and lived some of my life in Syracuse, New York USA. My First name is Ken and I was born the 4th oldest (4th child) out of 6. I currently reside in the Auburn, New York Area and have so happily for quite some time.

I am currently a 23 year old single white male. I'm a quite a bit overweight, but it doesn't limit me physically or mentally from completing a task, dealing with problems or working. Some people may think I'm not intelligent because I current deal with a range of illnesses such as an offspring of Minor Autism, ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, depression and some others. Regardless of my problems, I have proved that I can speak quite intelligently, or accomplice any task that anyone else can that is not dealing with these illnesses or problems.

I had some problems in grade school which prevented me from receiving a regular High School diploma, however I took the GED and passed it with flying colors. I then enrolled in a local community college and passed the entrance exam too with flying colors on some subjects. My course of study was computer science which I received good grades in the first semester and passed the final of one of my computer science classes with an 85 (Not Great, but more than what some people expected from me).

During the Second and third semesters I ended up enrolling in too many courses and became overwhelmed. I then dropped out at the end of my third semester and have been out since. I plan on re-enrolling back into college and finishing my degree very soon so I can live a non-poverty stricken successful life.

Some of you may recognize me from other emulation websites such as emuforums and emutalk. You probably already know that I'm a really kindhearted, nice, pleasant, sometimes funny down to earth person that is easy to get along with.

I got in to emulation a couple years back. The first emulation website that I ever joined was emuforums. I came across emuforums by accident when I performed a google search. I thought it was a nice and interesting forum where a lot of members could co-exist quite nicely while engaging in intelligent debates or threads. The great moderation of the forum has kept flaming, insulting and idiotic comments to a minimum, which I can't say for most other forums which spin out of control.

The same secureness and moderation has also been maintained here at General Emulation, which also allows us to get along peacefully and those who are chronic rule breakers get weeded out.

I had initially started off with PSX Emulation and then began to experiment with other emulators as well, playing all my legally backed up games via emulation rather on the console because of many of the great options and configurations to enhance your graphics and experience which were not available on the original console.

I have been quite good with reading and following rules at forums, and have never been banned or warned at about every forum I'm registered at. I currently have no Infractions, Warnings or Bans at emuforums or any forum for that manner. I have only been banned from only one forum out of all that I'm registered at due to skipping over the rules once which I'll never do again. I was never really considered a n00b (Well Maybe a little bit) because I have alway read and followed the rules without a problem and tend to avoid threads that scream, "Trouble, Warning, or Ban" Such as Religious Debates and Fanboy Wars threads.

I enjoy a lot of thing as hobby's such as Computers, Video Games, Gardening, Listening to Music, Posting in Forums, Browsing the internet, tinkering with electronics, and I'm currently trying to learn programing so I can become a Game/Software Developer (Indie or Commercial) and pursue it as my career.

Well that's all I have to say about myself, I'll see you around the forums. If you have any non-technical question or want to get something resolved PM me. For tech questions use the forum and the search function, that's what it is there forWink

HCR presentation

Greetings. I am Hard Core Rikki, HCR in short. I currently am the latest addition to the staff of GeneralEmu.

I live next to Spain mainly (no, a little more to the south Wink ), and currently study in Eastern Europe most of the year for now. My name is Rikki, and currently am 25 years old.

Some of you might recognize me from other forums I hang around frequently, such as Doom9, Emuforums and GaiaOnline mainly.
I believe in the values of "sharing is caring" and similar values we share in the Linux community. I believe, am I'm told, that I'm a kindhearted, nice, pleasant, funny, down to earth and helpful person that is quite easygoing and pleasant to get along with. I usually hang in the #generalemu IRC channel.

I got into emulation myself around 5 years ago, when NGemu 1.0 was still in its very infancy. Despite being a regular follower, I did not register as a member till 2003, to start to become somehow active till late 2004. As a community, Emuforums looked welcoming, when other gaming communities weren't.

My personal likings are techsupport, selfteaching, networking (security especially), website creation, CG and 3D design, music composition and other geeky activities, such as amateur programming emulation, obviously Eek, and a few popular online games.

Being a discrete person, I'm not too comfy with welcomes, so let's just say that's all I have to say about myself. I hope to see you around our forums. If you have technical or non-technical questions, be it about emulation or other subjects, I frequently show up around here for support and news matters Evil

If you have questions about emulation, have specific game issues, or just wanna enjoy a nice stay here, I, Hard Core Rikki, as a member of the staff here, welcome you to GeneralEmu, and hope you'll feel welcome there tooTongue wink
