Sound/Video Problems
Hey there, well to start off I'm using Epsxe 1.6. When I pop in Chrono Cross it works fine untill I gets start a new game and watch the intro movie, get into a battle, or when I go to the menu, at that point the music slows down and becomes very choppy. The gameplay is just fine but the music seems to take itself down a couple notches making it play slower. This same problem happens with Soul Reaver during the opening movie, as well as the opening movie to Wild Arms 2 other than that, the gameplay is fine, does anyone have any idea what I should do to fix this? Thanks in Advanced guys!

RE: Sound/Video Problems
It's been a long time since I used EPSXE. I only use psX now.
There's should be a configuration menu. Inside it find the sound plugin option you're using.
Change the settings of it to High or something.
Wish I could be more help, but I can't remember much about EPSXE.
Tell me your results.

RE: Sound/Video Problems
For Video:
Res: 800x600
P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.17
Stretching: Super2xSal stretching
No Dithering
-Framerate (ones Checked)-
Transparent FPS Display
Use FPS Limit (FPS Limit at 60)
Use Frame Skipping
-Options(ones checked)
Wait for VSYNC
For Sound:
P.E.Op.S. DSound Driver 1.9
(Ones checked)
Enable SOund
Enable CDDA SOund
Enable XA Sound
I screwed around with some of the configurations and was finally able to get the sound to stay the same speed throughout the game (during dialogue and battles etc.), so I finally got Chrono Cross to be playable. The only problems I'm having with it now are that the music skips every now and again (sometimes always when I go to the menu screen and either enter or exit a room.), and the game just doesn't want me to go to my Status menu through the menu. Other than that the game is playable, thank you for all the help again guys, are there any other suggestions that may help me out?

RE: Sound/Video Problems
the internal spu plugin doesn't require configurating.
update to ePSXe 1.7, 1.6 is bad for
also use a accelerated plugin since CC uses 3d poly's and textures.

click piccy for Tempra^
