[SOLVED(I think)]** FFVII ePSXe problem **

Well hello !

I've managed to get an excellent setup for FFVII (so far) except for one big drawback:

Every third time i enter a sub menu (e.g. item, materia, equip) the game sorta hangs, with music still playing (VERY slowly) - leaving me 2 choices: to F3 back to a savestate or just close and start over.

My only idea is that it's cus I'm running from my own disk, and not made an ISO.

Texture Filtering (4. Extended W/O Sprites Unflitered 2D)
Hi-Res textures (0. standard)
GFX Card VRAM (Autodetect)

Use FPS Limit.
FPS Limit (55.0 fps)

RE: ** FFVII ePSXe problem **

Try these settings instead

- autodetect fps (should be 60 for ntsc and 50 for pal games, if you set it manually, so better keep it automatic)
- use fps limit
- framebuffer effects: 2 (standard)
- disable game fixes

what graphic card do you have?

PS: welcome aboard. Nice avatar, btw Wink

Hrmmm.. Same problem, 3rd time accessing "Materia" It locks up in transition..

I got a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300.

P.S: Here is a screencap of where it locks.

P.P.S: Tanks!

p.p.p.s: BANG, I think I fixed it with SaPu's CDROM Plugin.. I'll get back to ya after some more testing

I thought it was the cdrom plugin from the beginning. Its advisable that you use Pete's CDrom plugin.
