Rock Band to hit the Wii

Quote:
February 01, 2008 - Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello has confirmed in a third-quarter conference call today that the company's new musical franchise, Rock Band, will be coming to Nintendo's Wii. Although no release date was mentioned, Riccitiello referred to the "coming launch" of the game.

The game, developed by Guitar Hero creators Harmonix Music Systems, will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in Australia soon, and it allows players to perform in virtual bands and ships with three peripherals: a guitar, drum kit and microphone.

Although no specifics were revealed, last year, Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos said a Wii version would be on the way. "We will, at some time, bring Rock Band to every [important] platform," he said at the time. "I think the Wiimote is something that holds enormous promise."

RE: Rock Band to hit the Wii

It was just a question of time IMO...
I wonder how many it will cost and if they implement some WII specific features!
