Just a weblog: Metal, rants about music, random rants, pictures, concert reviews, metal videos made by yours truly and sometimes just some personal stuff, like holiday pics.

Sometimes I update multiple times a week, sometimes I don't visit it for a month.

Wow, this looks amazing.  I am really impressed Mire.  I only wish I could make something that creative and nice looking.  Hmm, is there a window blinds for vista?  or a way to make your customer aero like themes?

EDIT: I just answered my own question. Looks like WindowBlinds IS compatible with vista... do you use this for a Windows Vista theme Mire?

Yup, there is a Window Blinds version compatible with Vista, it's the 5.5 that Stardock released few weeks ago. Although I wouldn't buy it NOW, since it's kinda experimental and pretty amateur. I mean, WB5.5 does not take all advantages from DWM, there's no blur effect on the glossy borders, etc. The sixth version is meant to do all the cool s**t, so I am looking forward to it. Smile Dunno when it'll be released though, but I guess it won't be too late.

Yes, there are ways to modify the Aero theme, actually that's what I'm doing. But that's a pain in the ass, includes hacking codes in the msstyle and geek s**t like that... I may post my custom theme if ya want. Smile

And finally, no, I'm not using it on Vista since I don't use WB5.5 here. At least for now. But I intend to make a WUI style based for Vista. In fact I've even started. Tongue wink

Well even though I think I would enjoy reeping the benefits of your hard earned work, I think I would be more interested in learning to make my own at this point. Can't be too difficult right? Smile Modified aero theme seems really cool, do you have any good references for creating and modifying vista themes?
