RE: My New Rig

Damn, I guess I'm the only one left now with a "prehistoric" rig here then Wink

80GB ? 320 min or get out Wink
Is it a full new rig or just the previous one with upgraded hardware?
How much paid for the q6600, btw ? Any significant advantage over regular duallies clocked the same?

PS : new rig? pics or it didnt happen Wink
PS2: you know the way to the screenshot threads Wink

RE: My New Rig

Only 80GB cause I already have those two old HDDs... the 80GB and the 40GB. And it's a NEW rig, everything's new 'cept for the modem and the DVD burner. Smile

The whole costed around 980 euros (2600 reais here). The Q6600 was CHEAPER than the mobo. The processor was 700 reais and the mobo about 900 or more! :o About "benchmarks", can't say anything yet... I only know it's way faster than the previous one! Toungue

And hmm, I have no camera to take the pics :/ but i'll post some CPU-Z shots soon! Toungue

RE: My New Rig

Nice rig... I guess mines starting to become quite dated. But it'll do me until it dies.

I don't often demand much out of my PC, at most, encoding a DVD or playing a game (if I get the time) - and it does those fine. But most of the time it's just browsing, listening to music, chatting on MSN, with downloads running and craploads of stuff open. I have a "19, and use it for watching TV/movies quite a lot, since my family are couch potatoes and I can never get near the TV.

It does everything I want it to, and that's what counts ^^

RE: My New Rig

Mine's still pretty good even though it's starting to show it's age.
