RE: Half-Life2 Orange Box

Dont want / need anything in it other than HL2:EP2, so not a chance of me getting it, it would be good if you had not played HL2 before.

RE: Half-Life2 Orange Box

In my case I am planning to give the extra cd-keys away anyway, so it was worth buying for me, I played a few levels of portal and I think it's pretty fun.

RE: Half-Life2 Orange Box

I pre-ordered from Amazon because I like getting a box and a physical disk. Heck, it was the same price as off of Steam, only difference being that I have to wait for it. I never got Ep1 so it seems like a decent deal. Also, Amazon had the beta offer for Team Fortress 2 just like Steam and I am still enjoying TF2 today (even though it has been released and I haven't received the box yet)! Happy

Originally I could have cared less about TF2, but it is a lot more fun then I thought it would be. Also Portal looks pretty good so the whole package seems to be worth the money, even though I already have HL2.

RE: Half-Life2 Orange Box

Personally I think that every game in the collection is worth the full price of the orange box alone so it's a pretty good deal, too bad they axed the black box.

RE: Half-Life2 Orange Box

Damnit man! I've been going to Circuit City every freaking day to see if they got a shipment of the Orange Box and they never have it. Not even any of the store in one and a half hours driving distance has them either. This is starting to piss me off. Don't advertise something in the sales paper for $37.99 when other stores have it for $50 on the week of it's release and then not have it. What's the point of that? I might have to order the damn thing.

I'm on dialup Player-X. You really think I want to download E2 on dialup? Toungue Anyways, when I was at work, my girlfriend managed to pick one up for me at another Circuit City. Grin I'm probably going to try it out on Sunday when I get back home for the weekend. I'm really looking foward to it.

Ugh... dialup... I remember those days... horrible... that's even slower than 512k =/

It dropped every 2 hours or so and downloaded at 5kbps. Took me two days to get one album.

I also remember the days of dailup, it was until around 2003 before I got ADSL back in Malaysia and that was going 512/386k before I upgraded to 1024/512k and it's still quite slow.

Ah dial up, brings back allot of memories, like 4 minutes ago when I used it to connect to the Internet -_- The worst thing about it is the every 2 hours it screws up. Anyways, Orange Box, Im planning on getting for PS3, I bought HL2 for pc once, but being the n00b I was I didnt know you needed an Interent conneciton to use it, so I've been waiting for about...3 years to play it nowSmile

RE: Half-Life2 Orange Box

You can get the files from somewhere with a good internet connection, put it on a DVD and take it back home, load it into Steam, log in to your account, decrypt it and play.
