RE: Half-Life2 Orange Box
Protip: Most people don't know that you can get some really amazing deals for broadband in the US if you talk to their customer service about lowering your prices or getting a few months free service, most of them are trained to give out freebies if you talk to them.

RE: Half-Life2 Orange Box
I don't think that I can get broadband DSL (1.5MB) in the US for much cheaper than ~$9.86 (including fees and taxes) per month. It might not be the fastest but it is a decent price in the US. I laugh whenever I see the PeoplePC comercials, pfft! what fool would pay $10.95 per month (NOT including fees/taxes) to get dial-up when you can get DSL for cheaper (or almost the same price)?
Anyway, my box has shipped now and I am just waiting to get it. I've heard that Ep2 and Portal aren't all that long. I haven't played Ep1 yet either so it adds more value. TF2 is pretty fun so far as well, I like it much better than CS: Source .

RE: Half-Life2 Orange Box
Actually if you ask their technical support department for it they will probably give you a couple months free access.
Half Life2 Ep2 isn't all that long compared to Half-Life2 but it's a little longer than Ep1, I recommend playing Portal before you play Ep2.

I LOL at those commercials too. I think I pretty much have the cheapest dial-up internet available in the US afaik. My ISP is all2easy.net. $4.95 a month, can't beat that. Now I can save my money for much better things like crack and prostitutes.

Protip: Call a cable company about getting you hooked up with 3 months free service and then canceling it when that 3 months are up.

RE: Half-Life2 Orange Box
The team fortress trailer looked rather interesting. I'm more interested in HL2 though. After beating the game on Xbox1, I've been dying for more!

RE: Half-Life2 Orange Box
WOW...
Portal was amazing!
The sarcasm, the little details, the freaking computer...
All these ideas for the extras... it was so good, hope there will be more maps in future or an addon.
Played it since 10pm... so after nearly 4 hours it was done... but I couldn't stop, because it was so great!
The Credits are... ahh... just look yourself, it isn't that hard!
Next thing will be HL2, then Ep1 and then Ep2...
Never finished HL2, because I only had it from a friend of mine and now I have it since my orange box arrived last weekend... so it was a great deal for me! 5 Games for 50 bucks!
There are also a lot of mods for HL2, any recommendation?

The ending of Half-Life 2: Episode 2 made me cry. That was f'd up what they did in that game.
