HELP!
Hi everyone new here and i already have a problem. I just recently downloaded this emulator and it was a pain in the ass having my BIOS dumped (had to wait for a friend to help). So i finally get that done and now it seems my pc can't handle the emulator at all.
The reason i find this strange is I recently saw a post by a person who has the exact same rig as mine and he ran twisted metal black with minimal lag and i get monstrous lag even at the PS2 menu.
These are my system specs:
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ 2.0 GHZ
1 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE 256 MB RAM
Now My question is can i fix this lag issue? And if so how?
Thank You

I was the one that probably posted that, Twisted metal black runs anywheres between 20 - 40 FPS depending on what is going on the screen.
Since you have a dual core processor, enable Dual Core/MTGS mode, in GSDX 0.1.7 options look for D3D internal resolution and check "Native Resolution", make sure "NLoop hack", "Logarithmic Z", and "Alpha Correction (FBA)" are also checked.
Be forewarned that I never said I got full speed, just that compared to older versions of PCS2 the newer versions run games much faster, notably better than PCSX2 in it's infancy at version 0.8.1.
Depending on the action on the screen at the time, speed can drop down to 17 - 20 FPS, and range anywhere between the 20 - 40 FPS mark. It's not full speed by any means, but is fairly playable depending on what your definition of a playable/bearable speed is.
Also welcome to the forum.

RE: HELP!
Thank you for the help but now i have a new problem. Now when i click on configure it says that it failed to find packet.dll, and d3dx9_36.dll, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. How do I fix it? Thank You again.
EDIT: Okay problem fixed i downloaded the .dll files i needed and now it's running fine at a good speed Thank You very much for your help.
