I have been unable to run ePSXe v1.6.0 on my computer no matter where i download it because epsxe.exe in the download contains a virus called Trojan horse Generic10.WAH. If anyone could give me a link to where i can download ePSXe without getting that stupid virus I would appreciate it.

Its just a false positive from the antivirus. AVG shows it as a "virus", but its totally clean. There is no risk from it at all, especially if you download it from the official ePSXe site or NGemu.

AVG had bad virus signatures since a year or so, so this is not really uncommon to see it flag legitimate programs as viruses. Just rest assured ePSXe is a clean program.
Could an AVG user confirm since which update this happens in particular, so this could be fixed?



If you indeed have AVG (version 8), you can do this for now:
Go to Tools > Advanced Settings, then under Resident Shield go to Exceptions and add the path of the folder where ePSXe is in.
This should stop the annoying alerts, till a future database update fixes the mistake.

Thanks a ton for the info Rikki, I got ePSXe working now
by the way I am using AVG Free edition 8.0, thats what detected the so called virus.

This should have happened in AVG 7.5 as well, since it's not really a problem with the heuristic, but rather the signature database, apparently (unless it was a different update than the sigdb that actually caused this, such as in the RG engine)
