GSsoft and GSmax status?

What happen to GSsoft? Is it due to linuzapp leave the team, well linuzapp is the author of this plugin anyway. Is it being abandoned and dev concentrate with GSdx9 and ZeroGS? And where is GSmax which rumors before to make a comeback. Just curious? Wink

RE: GSsoft and GSmax status?

Plugin specs for the GS have changed since 0.8.1., so in order for GSSoft to work, it would need some adjustments made to it.Wink

RE: GSsoft and GSmax status?

GSsoft just needs a few modifications to get it working again. As for GSmax, ask saqib Toungue

What do you mean fooked? As long it's running, still ok. Don't waste an old effort No

RE: GSsoft and GSmax status?

It might take too much effort to make it work as good as Gsdx9 or Zerogs....

RE: GSsoft and GSmax status?

It would suck but with the new upcoming version maybe the speed may increase reasonably.

RE: GSsoft and GSmax status?

GSSoft is a software plugin, probably low fps with high compatibility.

RE: GSsoft and GSmax status?

Exactly. But since the speed is catching up with the later PC's that are coming up to the scene I'm more than sure that we'd be getting decent speeds even with it

RE: GSsoft and GSmax status?

Bthw what are the major differences (advantages and disadvantages) of GSmax and Zerogs that make further development of GSmax graphics plugin sensible while Zerogs already give "good" results on pcsx2? Does it have advantages (at least theoretically) for some video cards in comparison with Zerogs?

RE: GSsoft and GSmax status?

GSmax uses OpenGL so it would provide another graphics plugin for Linux (which doesn't support DirectX) users to run the emulator. For some graphics cards OpenGL works better than DirectX as well, specifically workstation graphics cards are typically more geared towards OpenGL.
