Free Webhosting
Here will be stickied a list of a few notable, recommended webhosts that are considered either notable, highly featurful and preferrably do allow user-run ads (like Google Adsense).
Please list their specificities, and restrictions as accurately as possible, and consider bolding out significant points in free offers you submit. Thank you.
First, for hosting your images online and quickly sharing those, I recommend using the following image host:
http://www.imageshack.us/
For website hosting, I wholeheartedly recommend FragVault, wich, among those I've heard about, seems to be offering some of the terms for personal users and first-time webmasters, as well as businesses.
FragVault
http://fragvault.com/
- 600 MB web space
- 70GB Monthly Bandwidth (70,000 MB)
- 20 Mysql database
- 20 POP/smtp email Accounts (up to 10 mailing lists)
- 20 ftp supports
- 20 Addon Domains
- Fantastico which offers you the ability for One-Click installs of Forums, Shopping Cart systems, Web Blogs (like Blogger!), Image Galleries, cms web sites, Web Site templates...
- PHP 5.x and PHP4.x
- cPanel - Industry leading control software.
- html - cgi - ssl - psql - Custom Error pages -
- NO File Size Limit
- You select the ad to display of ours!
- You may use your own ads
- Each server has its own 100mbit port running (Linux).
- 99.6% Uptime!
NOTE: I've noticied a thread about a "similar" subject, but this one is to list the best and highest recommended among these, and is destined to be made a permanent reference as a sticky

RE: Free Webhosting
Woah, and I thought Tobiahost giving away 250MB cPanels was good, but 600MB. Now that's hawt.

I admit it's been very difficult for me to spot anything close to it in advantages. I guess nothing prevents you from making websites now, eh guys ??

If it was instant, you wouldve gotten 4 or 5 times less generosity. There's a reason why it's this way. Feel free to showcase your new site here, in case you are willing of course.

They offer multiple package deals.
They are a post to host provider, and offer insane packages if you meet their requirements to get a hosting account.
I'll edit this post later and add more to it such as packages and the requirements. Link above is a link to their forum atm, since I don't have a direct link to their main page.

RE: Free Webhosting
I officially *hate* free hosting. Since my tobiahost account got deleted last week.
I waited on their live support queue for 3 hours to see if they could restore it, the session never began.

Even a week of inactivity seems to put tobiahost accounts at major risk of deletion (current policy now i believe). freephpwebhosting seems to be a more interesting , worthy alternative.
We have now enforced an inactivity limit.
When a free account has been created the user has 48 hours to have a website up and running.
If the user does not have a website up within 24 hours their account will be suspended, then if we are not contacted for account re-activation within an extra 24 hours the account will be deleted from our server.

RE: Free Webhosting
I sent off my application to that fragvault.com almost 2 days ago, I would have thought I'd hear back from them by now
I think an already existing website is needed. Don't quote me on that though. freephphosting looks better for all uses. fragvault can be picky.

RE: Free Webhosting
I think it's worth paying a few dollars for proper hosting tbh.
