RE: Computer spec's. HELP!

You're computer is currently too slow, it's you're processor bottle necking PCSX2. I'm afraid to say you're probably getting as good of speeds as you are going to get.

You're GPU is ok for PCSX2 while nothing magnificent. If you want to play most PS2 games at a decent speed, you'll need a Core2Duo or better.

Do you know if you're AMD processor is dual core, or is it a single core? If you don't know you can Google CPU-Z and it should tell you or look at you're system info on your PC.

Welcome to the forum by the way.Smile

This should have been posted in the PCSX2 Forum, as it's not a plugins question.Wink Moved.

Hey thank's man, I was pretty sure i had a dual core, well i have 1,995 Mhz CPU speed, It's DDR2. I already have Cpu-z but umm... it only says clock core 1995.2 MHz, i have no idea what that is. It does not say anything about dual core tho....Yeah there is nothing on cpu-z about it.

My bad it say's core speed, does that mean Core to duo?

Sorry about that Plot, it was late last night when I was on and replied and didn't realize it was in the wrong section. Smile

Koji, I would say the best speed you'll get out of games with you're current processor is 30FPS if you are lucky.

My PC which has an AMD64 X 2 3800+, 1 GB of ram and a Geforce 6150LE can't get better than 30FPS usually in games such as Resident Evil Code Veronica X and Twisted Metal Black.

RE: Computer spec's. HELP!

You'll have to wait or buy a new computer (more expensive than the ps2)...
Like Xtreme2damax said, you won't get than 30 fps.

If it were that easy, then people wouldn't be using powerful PC's to run this emulator. Obviously the only that thing that will increase speed is to use a more modern and powerful computer.Wink
