Shy  Can my PC run Pcsx2?

Intel®
Pentium® D CPU 2.80GHz
2.81GHz, 2GB RAM
600GB disk space

Windows XP Pro
Ati Radeon X1300/X1550 Series

CPU Speed displayed on the emulator Config is:
2816Mhz

I can run games like DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 really good on the menus and all but ingame i get like 12-15%Fps Crying

and Kingdom Hearts is also good on the menus and runs about 30-55%Fps (still alot of lag) Crying

should i be getting these type of problems with the emulator?
or should i upgrade my Ram or change anything? how much would it cost? Hmm

Plugins using: (PCSX2 0.9.4)

GSdx (MSVC 15.00, SSE2) 0.1.8 <-- Graphic
P.E.Op.s SPU2 1.9.0 <-- Sound

If theres anything anyone wants to know just ask and ill give more detail
so back to the question, should i upgrade or change anything? whats the recomended plugins and configs i should be using and so on? Shy

thanx in advance, ill be back Cool Yes

That Pentium D (which is the weakest dual core processor there is) will hold you back. If you want better speeds, you'll need to consider upgrading to a better CPU. If your board supports it, you could always look into replacing it with a Core2.Wink

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 | 2 GB DDR2 RAM | GeForce 7900 GTX

it supports it and i had to idea that it was weak cause my comp runs games like Crysis on Medium quality with very few probs (i know i know there ppl that can run it on high or very high but o well Shy)

so how much would it cost to get a Core2? (or another DualCore?)
what do u recomend and price? (between 100-200$ IF theres anything that cheap)

anyway ill wait till u tell me Happy thx again

Well, these days, I'd suggest the E6600 or better, simply because the prices have come down alot on those chips, not to mention they absolutely crush any Pentium D.Wink

how much would it cost? does it add-on the cpu or do i have to take the Pentium D out 1st? Confused

if it take the Pentium out and put the E6600 in would that erase anything on my pc? Hmm

oh yea 1 last question, is the E6600 good enough to run (some,or the 1's i sayed be4) Pcsx2 games at a normal-high speed?

sry for all the questions Sad but if i change it i wanted 2 make sure im doing it good Happy

Replacing your processor won't cause you to lose any data, so no worries there. As for cost, I have no idea what it would cost where you live. Prices can vary alot depending on what country you live in. I run an E6600 and Kingdom Hearts runs at about 90 FPS for me in most places.
