Another lost: becus25 decides to leave the PSP Emulation scene as well.

Yep, the thread title explains it all. becus25 has decided to leave today here is what he had to say:

"Definitively I am not in a good moment. They have been several things that have happened these days which I want neither to remember nor to mention anything. I leave the scene. The code of the IE will not be thrown for personal reasons.

I sit it. A greeting."

Sounds familiar, don't you think?

Another lost due to Sony???

For what ever reason,

Farewell, becus25

EDIT:
Will Team-33 be next?????

At least these emu coders had the guts to comment on it, and _reveal_ that bullying to the world.

Not everyone bullied by Sony had such a honorable attitude towards their once-avid followers.
Silence...is no solution...

Damn. WTF is going on? Everyone is leaving and no one wants to say anything. Is Sony threatening everyone? All of this is really suspicious.

After the much publicized consumer outcry with the gone-public VGS/Bleem heavihanded crackdown, Sony certainly made itself more discrete, without renouncing on their treacherous ways, as you might suspect now.

I'm still kinda surprised you guys only started noticing this "trend" now, after PSP coders dared to admit it before being forced into silence by additional scary foundation-shaking letters from almighty Sony.

I'm suprised that many emulators are still here. Let's hope it stays that way.

no doubt sony is pulling a bleem again. they dont need any valid reason, they have money unlike the coders. It's the same strategy the riaa uses. only one with money needs to stand up,win, and sony is done sending letters.

Sony had pulled more successful bleem-esque operations than you had even imagined.
It didnt start to look unacceptable only recently, with PSP gurus runnin from its bloody paws, and daring to say so before they're being forced into silence with scary letters.

Don't worry, these week we'll see a flood of custom firmware release since the release of reverse source of OE firmware.

Sony seems like they just don't want to have fans.

Massively "Sony tax"-paying fans would sound better to them.
They need to leverage their Sony and Playstation names for everything now, especially to fund UMD (they still view UMD as an indispensable tool to secure their future growth, because of licencing fees, lately coming from the once-forbidden porn industry) and super nadzee bluray and drm into our homes. This is even a fight for the domination of the future e-Home. Locked formats, specs and devices are indispensable for them, and Tivo has shown the way for succesful prevention of tampering, wich will be TPM-enforced in the near future.

Right now, firmwares might still be flashable with results, but try that when all gaming functionalty and restrictions get embarked in single chips selfchecking their integrity.

These sick tactics have gotten on the nerves of much of the formerly docile masses. It cant be just a coincidence former Sony followers flock to the Wii and DS, who got Massively Positive reviews from every kind of critics and publics, including grandparents EekBig Grin
