And now I have a 8800GT

The Zotec Geforce8800GT that I bought finally arrived one day before Chinese New year, I am right now formatting my main PC, I'll post pictures later when my main PC is back online.

RE: And now I have a 8800GT

Freaking hell, my PSU is not beefy enough to handle the card, looks like my PC will be down for a couple of days while I wait for a new one.

RE: And now I have a 8800GT

Great buy, the 8800GT's are a steal.
I paid too much for mine compared to how much they cost now (Due to being stocked properly) but no regrets.

RE: And now I have a 8800GT

I got it at a valentines special sale although I wonder what kind of person buys a graphics card for a girl.

I need a new PSU, can anyone suggest one that has a 12V rail which can feed at least 26A?

edit: Never mind, I managed to get it to work by using a splitter so I can use 2 molex heads with the card.

Actually Zotac versions are much cheaper for some reason. I got my Zotac 8600GTS for £120

The actual performance gap between the 8800GT and the 8800GTX doesn't justify getting the GTX especially considering that if you look hard enough you can buy 2 8800GTs for the price of a GTX.

RE: And now I have a 8800GT

When you overclock a 8800GT, it has been known to beat out the GTX in many cases.

RE: And now I have a 8800GT

8800GT is basically a low-res GTX and you can take that with a grain of salt. Course I shouldn't be trying to point out any short comings when I'm going to be getting one soon too. Toungue http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spe...&class=vga

I'd have one now, but I hate the dinky single-slot coolers. Waiting for that MSI one and hopefully it is will be a reasonable price. Since I need to couple something powerful with my E8400 @ 4.1Ghz. Toungue
