RE: 3.40 OE back to 1.50?
Get the official 1.50 update here:
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/4
Then save it on your desktop. After the download's complete change the name of the file to UPDATE.PBP
And put it in your Recovery Folder. Then Run Recovery Mode and select run eboot.bin. Then you are taken through the downgrade progress. Just make sure you don't take the mem stick, ac adapter out and make sure not to turn the PSP off.

Most memorable quote on Generalemu:
"But when I see the name refraction, I go "Wow, thats a cool f***ing name." -MireTank.

Recovery folder is this "/PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/" (not game150 or game340 just game).
But anyway why do you want to go back to 1.50, 3.40 OE is it not good or something?

Actually, there is a more specific way of downgrading to 1.5 form the recovery menu. See this guide There's a download there with a recovery folder that contains all needed files to roll back to 1.5 through recovery mode. I know this works, as I've used it 3 times now (I always downgrade back to 1.5 before flashing a newer custom firmware).

RE: 3.40 OE back to 1.50?
I think I want to go back to 3.30 OE-A2. I'm facing some problem with 3.40 OE-A. Tried to mod icons etc but it won't let me change the wallpaper or it won't boot because the setting in recovery mode "all enable" by itself. Tried to disable and reboot, the setting not saved. Enter recovery mode again "all enable" again by itself. No clue why.

The downgrade method you linked to was the same that I and (I believe) This Dude were talking about
Anyway cyclonmaster, i don't know why you have problems with the firmware, it is all working fine here.
Maybe you should revert back to 1.5 and then update, just like Plot does.

I solved the problem already. I had to format flash1. All fine now.

Actually, the file and guide I linked to has a few extra files that run during the flash to check everything to make sure it's ok. Download it and you'll see there's more than just the 1.5 EBOOT in there.
